Bitcoin Cash supporter pledges to buy 111 Teslas if Elon Musk adds BCH support

A Bitcoin Cash (BCH) supporter has pledged to buy 111 Tesla Model 3s if the automaker adds the coin as a payment option.

In a YouTube video, a user from Australia going by the alias 1stmil.com predicted higher Tesla sales. In his view, the BCH community wants to spend the coin rather than hold it, unlike holders of the first cryptocurrency.

Users questioned 1stmil.com’s ability to fulfil the pledge, as the disclosed wallet contained the equivalent of $141,000, enough to buy only three Model 3s. In response, the Bitcoin Cash supporter stated that he had not shown other addresses “for security reasons”.

In earlier videos, 1stmil.com claimed that he already owns a seven-figure amount in BCH and his holdings would reach $1 billion by 2025, when the coin’s price would reach $50,000. In other words, as of writing, he could have the equivalent of $15.5 million at his disposal.

This would be enough to purchase 111 Model 3s in Australia at $52,000 each. The user hinted that if the initiative goes ahead, he will launch a business selling components. Collectively, in some countries they could cost more than the electric vehicle itself.

Earlier, the Monero community urged Elon Musk to add XMR as a payment option for electric vehicles.

In March 2021, Elon Musk announced the start of Tesla sales for Bitcoin in the United States.
