Bitcoin climbs above $12,000

On Monday, August 17, the price of the leading cryptocurrency breached the $12,000 level. At one point, Bitcoin rose to around $12,200 (Bitstamp).

At the time of writing, the cryptocurrency was trading near that level.

stated that after Bitcoin breaches the key resistance at $12,150, further movement toward $13,865 could be expected.

Trader and founder of the Crypto Mentors project Nikita Semov stated that there is another important resistance zone — $11,980-$12,025. Its surpassing, he said, ‘opens a clear path to growth with new 2019 highs’.
