Bitcoin gifted at birth yields 6,600% return after four years

The Bitcoin gifted by her father to his newborn daughter rose 67-fold over four years — from $915.80 to $62,000. Cointelegraph reports.

João Kanada, founder of the Brazilian crypto exchange Foxbit, bought 1 BTC for his daughter on the day she was born.

“I bought Bitcoin for her not just as a gift, but as a way to invest in a new economy. At that time it was valued at 5,000 Brazilian reais”, — he said.

Four years later, the price of the first cryptocurrency rose more than 67-fold — to $62,000.

Earlier in September, a 12-year-old Londoner, Benyamin Ahmed, created 3,350 NFTs in the CryptoPunks style and sold them within nine hours. His profit amounted to around $350,000.
