Bitcoin Surpasses $51,000 as Market Capitalization Exceeds $2 Trillion

On Wednesday, February 14, the price of the leading cryptocurrency exceeded $51,000 for the first time since December 2021. The asset’s capitalization reached $1 trillion, according to CoinGecko.

The second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization surpassed $2700. Ethereum has gained more than 15% over the past week.

The market capitalization of digital assets exceeded $2 trillion for the first time since April 2022.

On February 12, the leading cryptocurrency surpassed the psychological threshold of $50,000.

Earlier, early Bitcoin adopter Tuur Demeester predicted the asset could rise to $600,000 by 2026.

Previously, analysts at Grayscale forecasted a “favorable” market structure post-halving. However, DecenTrader warned of potential correction risks for the leading cryptocurrency during this period.
