“Bitfinex Pay is a widget that enables seamless cryptocurrency payments,” says the company’s website.
The service also supports the second-layer network Lightning Network.
Bitfinex Pay does not impose any additional fees beyond those paid by users for processing transactions. The maximum payment is limited to $1,000.
To start using the service, merchants must create an account on Bitfinex and verify their identity. A sub-account will then be created. The widget is embedded on the merchant’s website.
Earlier, the cryptocurrency exchange Binance launched its own payment service.
