Bitget reports a record number of participants in the King’s Cup; Lionel Messi promoted the tournament.

Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget has announced the results of the international trader tournament “King’s Cup” (King’s Cup Global Invitational 2022, KCGI). It attracted 32,174 users — a record for the competition’s history.

King’s Cup took place from 21 November to 19 December 2022 and was timed to the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

To attract participants, the organizers launched an advertising campaign with Lionel Messi, the Argentine football star.

“Bitget congratulates the winners of the KCGI, the Argentina national team and Lionel Messi personally! We are proud to have supported him throughout the World Cup,” commented Gracie Chen, the managing director of the exchange.

The winners shared 565,000 USDT, with the following breakdown:

• The top five teams in the team standings earned more than 1,450,000 USDT in profit with a PnL of 1,731.24%;
• Five best participants in the individual standings received about 230,000 fan tokens for completing various tasks on the platform;
• The top-5 users brought in 789 referrals as part of the invitation contest.

“The King’s Cup is an annual futures trading competition on Bitget. The next tournament will take place in mid-2023.”
