Bitmain announces start of sales for Ethereum miner Antminer E9

Bitmain has announced the start of sales of the ASIC miner Antminer E9, designed for mining the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization.

Specifications of the new device:

• Hashrate — 2400 MH/s, equivalent to 25 RTX 3080 graphics cards;
• Power consumption — 1920 W;
• Power efficiency: 0.8 J/M.

Sales are planned to begin on July 6. The price of the new miner is not yet known.

An announcement of the Antminer E9 release was made in April 2021. In the same month, Bitmain representatives said that the new device “will change the rules of the game”.
