Bitmain announces World Summit on Digital Mining

From 8 to 10 November, mining-hardware manufacturer Bitmain will host the World Summit WDMS Global 2022 in Cancun, Mexico.

Leading global companies and notable organisations will participate, including Foundry, Core Scientific, Tether, S&P Dow Jones Indices, Merkle Standard, CryptoOne, MINTO LAB DMCC, Jsbit, Atlas and Starbase.

The summit will discuss the role of stablecoins and the legality of equity-based mining, present a study on the financialisation of digital assets, and assess the potential for cryptocurrency mining in Latin America.

Among the speakers:

• Paolo Ardoino, Chief Technology Officer, Tether;
• Sharon Libowitz, Senior Director of Innovation and Strategy, S&P Dow Jones Indices;
• Kyle Snipes, Director of Public Policy, Foundry;
• Patricio Rodríguez, Chief Executive Officer, Southbit;
• Paul Steiner, President of El Salvador’s National Commission for Small and Micro Businesses.

In addition, WDMS Global 2022 will bring together PoW-miners from Litecoin, Ethereum Classic, Dogecoin, Nervos, Kadena and Ergo.

Porter Stowell, Director of Community at the Filecoin Foundation, will talk about environmental initiatives in blockchain technology applications. Haitian Lu, professor at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, will present a talk on the carbon neutrality of Bitcoin mining. Renowned Chinese NFT artist Ting Song will share experiences in creating non-fungible tokens.

During the summit Bitmain will unveil the new miner Cancun S19 XP Hyd. Blast with hydro-cooling.
