Bitmain to deploy Antminer S19 Pro devices at Kazakhstan data centre
Bitmain, a manufacturer of mining equipment, announced a partnership with Enegix to host devices at a Kazakhstan data centre with a capacity of 180 MW.
According to the press release, Antminer S19 Pro miners will be deployed at the facility.
Enegix told ForkLog that “this is the first step towards broader cooperation”, but did not disclose details of the deal.
In 2020, Enegix opened one of the world’s largest data centres in Kazakhstan. It can accommodate about 50,000 mining devices.
In the summer of 2021, it emerged that Wattum Management, in partnership with Enegix, will build a 16 MW data centre. The parties are also negotiating financing and the construction of an additional facility with a capacity of 50 MW.
