Bitmain to release Antminer S21 with energy efficiency below 20 J/TH

The new flagship from Bitmain — Antminer S21 — will deliver energy efficiency at below 20 J/TH. The company will unveil the updated device on September 22-23 at the World Digital Mining Summit.

“The miner will usher the global industry into an era of 1X J/TH with unprecedented computing power and performance,” the statement said.

The device’s hash rate is not disclosed, nor is the availability of a model lineup.

Pre-orders for the Antminer S21 are available.

Alongside the device’s launch, Bitmain will launch a client-points system. Based on these, interested parties will be able to apply for credit lines to purchase the miner. Through the points system, customers will be able to use coupons on the S21 to obtain discounts.

In May 2023, Bitmain began taking orders for the KS3 device for mining Kaspa (KAS).

Earlier the company released miners for mining Handshake (HNS) and Filecoin (FIL).
