The BNB Chain ecosystem announced the launch of the “Meme Heroes” program, which will allocate $900,000 to support liquidity pools (LP) to foster the development of promising meme projects.
This initiative expands on the commitments announced in April to promote meme coin innovations on the BNB Smart Chain, amounting to $1 million.
The selection criteria for projects include several requirements:
- 100% of the pool’s liquidity must be locked for at least one year or sent to a null address;
- 10% of the total token supply must be included in the LP;
- The top 10 holders of EOA are allowed to own less than 10% of the total coin supply;
- Encouragement for large holders to lock or gradually release their funds over time.
The meme token’s source code must be verified on BscScan or undergo a security audit. Additionally, trading volume, number of coin holders, and the project’s market capitalization will be considered.
In the future, BNB Chain commits to reinvesting all income received from the liquidity pools back into the ecosystem.
The team is currently accepting applications from meme token developers to participate in the program.
Previously, BNB Chain activated the BEP 336 Haber hard fork, which reduced transaction costs for L2 solutions by 90% compared to current levels.
