BNB Chain Team Outlines 2024 Plans

The developers of the BNB Chain blockchain ecosystem have released a report detailing a “comprehensive brand story” and their plans for 2024, according to a press release received by ForkLog.

The document, titled “BNB Chain and Plans in Web3,” recounts the inception of BSC in September 2020 and its evolution into one of the largest first-level ecosystems.

The report also describes two other community-driven blockchains: the L2 solution opBNB and the decentralized data storage network Greenfield.

Among recent achievements, the project highlighted:

According to the statement, in 2023 BSC increased gas spending by 21%, and the number of daily transactions grew by 35% compared to the previous year.

“In 2024, BNB Chain will focus on key aspects such as increasing throughput, speed, and storage efficiency to strengthen its position as a leading EVM platform,” the press release states.

Planned initiatives include BNB Chain Fusion, staking on BSC, improving governance principles, and introducing opBNB Connect to support project developers within the ecosystem.

The team will also focus on developing the Web3 economy, offering “ultra-fast, cost-effective, scalable, and secure multichain strategies.”

In November 2023, developers presented the opBNB roadmap aimed at enhancing performance and reducing transaction costs.
