The Luban upgrade on the BNB Chain blockchain will be activated at block #29,020,050 around June 12, 2023, сообщили разработчики.
The upgrade includes three improvement proposals:
BEP-126 implements the first part of the FastFinality mechanism, which changes the block finalization process. It is expected to significantly speed up final transaction confirmations (to around 7.5 seconds). This will improve user interactions with the network and enhance its security by reducing the likelihood of malicious reorganization.

The next BEP will implement a relayer-management mechanism that helps transfer assets between different blockchains. The tool will enhance the security кроссчейн-моста of BSC Bridge.
The update will simplify the management of relayer whitelisting. Currently this must be done manually, each time by deploying a new version of the smart contract.
BEP-221 implements simplified block validation for the CometBFT software solution, which is used for secure replication of dapps across multiple devices.
The previous hard fork in the network, named Planck, took place on April 12.
In May, the daily number of transactions on BNB Chain reached a maximum in the last 12 months.
