Brad Garlinghouse denies CryptoLeaks' accusations of funding Roche Freedman

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has denied recent claims by the online publication CryptoLeaks of an alleged collusion between him and the Roche Freedman law firm.

“I have never met or spoken to [Roche Freedman’s founder] Kyle Roche, and I certainly have not invested in him,” he wrote.

According to CryptoLeaks’ report, based on a series of short videos from an unknown source, Garlinghouse agreed to Roche’s proposal to fund a law firm to take on rival firms.

The publication also asserts that the founder of Roche Freedman previously worked with Boies Schiller Flexner, which represented Ripple in a case against the SEC.

The Ripple and XRP communities rallied to Garlinghouse’s defense, pointing to CryptoLeaks’ arguments’ weakness. One user noted that the publication’s allegations were based on Roche’s comments, later presented as facts without evidence.

Among other things, CryptoLeaks’ report alleged that Roche Freedman had struck a “secret deal” with Ava Labs, the company behind the Avalanche blockchain, to use the legal system in a “gangster-like” fashion to attack and damage crypto organizations.

According to the publication, Roche was to receive AVAX tokens and equity in the crypto company in exchange.

Earlier, Ava Labs chief Emin Gün Sirer denied these accusations.
