
BrandShield helped The Sandbox in the fight against fraud
Between March and April 2022, cybersecurity firm BrandShield achieved the removal of 120 phishing sites and 58 fake social-media accounts linked to The Sandbox metaverse project. CoinDesk.
The agreement between the teams is aimed at safeguarding NFT users linked to the metaverse.
In addition to analysing and classifying attacks on crypto wallets, BrandShield also assesses threats emanating from websites and NFT marketplaces.
To reinforce the initiative, The Sandbox is conducting user training.
“We must provide our players and creators with recommendations to stay vigilant against all external risks,” said the project’s COO, Sebastien Borge.
Earlier in April 2022, it was reported that The Sandbox team planned to raise $400 million at a $4 billion valuation.
Earlier, virtual lands in this metaverse were acquired by Gucci, Gucci, Standard Chartered and HSBC, and offices were opened by the Dubai regulator and KEB Hana.
