According to the press release, Brave Wallet is built into the browser, reducing security risks and the device’s resource consumption for users. The wallet enables transactions with digital assets compatible with the EVM, and also connects to other wallets and decentralized applications.
Additionally, users can:
- view price charts with data from CoinGecko;
- exchange fiat for cryptocurrency via the Wyre platform;
- import wallets from extensions such as MetaMask and hardware wallets such as Trezor and Ledger;
- interact with NFT.
To access Brave Wallet, users will need to update the browser to version 1.32. They will also be able to continue using familiar extensions if they wish.
In 2022 the wallet will gain support for the Solana blockchain. Earlier, developers said that the integration would allow users to create accounts, perform cross-chain swaps via the Solana DEX aggregator, send SPL-tokens, and also perform NFT operations on this network.
Earlier in March 2021, Brave announced support for the Binance Smart Chain ecosystem.
