Brave Software is integrating search results from its Brave Search engine into its Leo chatbot, reports Techcrunch.
The search results are sourced from the Brave Search API, and Leo has been added to the Brave browser. This integration will provide more contextual information while reading articles and help find current and trending topics for social media posts.
The new feature maintains privacy as no login is required, Brave noted. Conversations with the chatbot are not stored on the company’s servers, and user queries are anonymized and not used for AI training.
In March 2023, Brave added a Summarizer feature based on various language models to its search engine, providing concise and informative answers. In November, the Leo chat assistant was made available to desktop users.
Back in November 2021, Brave integrated a non-custodial wallet of its own design.
