The leading Brazilian financial broker XP has launched the XTAGE crypto-trading platform, using Nasdaq technology. The Block reports The Block.
The mobile app enables trading Bitcoin and Ethereum. Xtage CEO Marcos Hori stressed that the company had “tons of inquiries” from clients wanting to invest in cryptocurrencies.
The number of active XP users exceeds 3.6 million.
Several other Brazilian companies have also recently introduced tools for trading cryptocurrencies. For instance, BTG Pactual at the end of July launched the Mynt platform.
Fintech company PicPay a week ago unveiled a trading platform, supporting Bitcoin, Ethereum and Paxos’s USDP stablecoin.
‘unicorn’ in digital banking Nubank at the end of June launched the Nucripto trading platform. Within a month the platform’s user base exceeded 1 million.
Earlier in July, Santander’s Brazilian branch promised to open the ability for clients to trade digital assets in the coming months.
