Binance exits Russia
The cryptocurrency exchange Binance will exit the Russian market. The business will be sold to CommEX, which announced its launch on September 26. According to the Terms of Use, CommEX Holding Limited is registered on the Seychelles Islands. For resolving legal disputes, Hong Kong law applies. A similar practice is used by Binance.
Details about the owners and beneficiaries of the newly opened exchange are not disclosed.
The Bitmama case
The BitOK service team identified key addresses linked to the activities of Valeria Fedyakina, known by the nickname Bitmama, and her associates. At the moment, according to Baza, Fedyakina is at SIZO-6 Pechatniki, facing up to 10 years in prison.
Escape of JPEX organizers
Co-founders and top executives of the collapsed Hong Kong exchange JPEX, which is called Hong Kong’s largest crypto scam, have allegedly gone on the run.
New update to ChatGPT
OpenAI developers released a global update for the ChatGPT chatbot, which has learned to “see, hear and speak.” Now users can attach images to their queries and converse with the neural network via voice.
The blockchain job market
This week saw two pieces on the crypto industry’s job market:
- Research by Pantera Capital, which found that only 3% of blockchain workers are paid in cryptocurrency;

Bitcoin ETF delayed
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission delayed decisions on several applications for spot Bitcoin ETFs from ARK Invest and 21Shares until January 10, 2024. The decision on a spot Ethereum ETF was also postponed — until the end of December.
