Burger King launches Keep It Real Meals NFT campaign
The global fast-food chain Burger King has announced the launch of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as part of the Keep It Real Meals marketing initiative, with participation from musicians Nelly, Anitta and LILHUDDY. Decrypt reports this.
The project is being carried out in partnership with the NFT marketplace Sweet.
During the campaign, QR codes on Burger King meal boxes in the United States will unlock NFTs from the three celebrities’ collections.
Users who obtain the same item from all three collections will receive a prize.
Rewards will include 3D Burger King digital collectibles, a year of free Whopper sandwiches, autographed memorabilia, and the chance to speak on the phone with one of the celebrities.
In September, weekly NFT trading volume fell to one third of August’s record levels — $1.05 billion.
Chinese state media warned readers about the formation of a bubble in the sector.
The same view was voiced by Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson.
