Burger King starts accepting cryptocurrency for external battery rentals in Paris

The fast-food chain Burger King has installed Instpower external-battery rental kiosks in its Paris locations. They accept payments in digital assets.

The devices are connected to crypto-payment services Alchemy Pay and Binance Pay.

“This collaboration with Burger King in Paris has taken our operations in Europe to a new level. The Instpower devices will allow customers to charge their gadgets on the go,” said the CEO of the Flash Development distributor, Yan Fu.

According to him, the European market for external-battery rentals is just taking shape, and such a collaboration will provide customers with cutting-edge payment options.

Founded in 2018 in Singapore, Alchemy Pay supports payments via Mastercard, Visa, Google Pay, Apple Pay and other services. The platform operates in 173 countries.

In September 2021, Burger King launched an NFT campaign Keep It Real Meals.

In November, the company entered into an agreement with the online broker Robinhood, under which it raffled prizes in Bitcoin, Ethereum and Dogecoin among participants in the Royal Perks loyalty program.
