The manufacturer unveiled the devices at CES in Las Vegas.
The Avalon Mini 3 delivers 800W of heat output. It is equipped with 66 chips built on a 4nm process, for a total hashrate of 37.5 TH/s.
“App-based control and an elegant, quiet design provide an exceptionally easy-to-use, energy-efficient solution for novice and enthusiast miners,” the press release says.
The Mini 3 is available for pre-order at $899. By Canaan’s calculations, at an electricity rate of $0.08/kWh, daily operating costs for the heater would be about $48, with mining revenue of more than $61.
The Avalon Nano 3S is a higher-performance version of the existing Nano 3. The compact unit delivers 6 TH/s thanks to 12 chips. The heater is listed on the manufacturer’s website from $249.
In May 2024, Canaan unveiled a new generation of Avalon A15 bitcoin miners with energy efficiency of up to 18.5 J/TH.
