The Toronto-listed Nuvei Corporation announced the purchase of Israeli payment processor Simplex for $250 million.

Nuvei is based in Montreal and provides electronic payment processing. The firm plans to close the deal in the second half of 2021 after regulatory clearance.
“The Simplex infrastructure is a perfect fit for the Nuvei Native Commerce Platform,” the statement said.
Founded in 2014, Simplex provides services to purchase digital assets using credit and debit cards. In 2016 the project closed a Series A round of $7 million.
