Canto blockchain to be transformed into an Ethereum-based L2 network
Developers EVM-compatible blockchain Canto with a focus on DeFi have decided to transform it into L2-solution for Ethereum based on zero-knowledge proofs (ZKP).
We’re thrilled to announce Canto is building with @0xPolygonLabs to migrate to a ZK L2 on Ethereum– powered by Polygon Chain Development Kit (CDK).

Canto is based on the Cosmos SDK and the Tendermint core.
The network will specialise in RWA to support the next wave of application-layer adoption in the form of “neofinance”.
The team will deploy the Polygon Chain Development Kit.
“The toolkit will enable Canto to provide ZKL2, which extends the community’s defining ethos — unlimited sovereignty, security and liquidity as a public good,” — she explained.
In August 2023, Fantom Foundation developers said they were considering moving the eponymous blockchain to Optimistic Rollups.
Earlier, the Worldcoin объявила about moving its applications from the Polygon network to the Optimism ecosystem.
