Over the weekend, the X accounts of several influencers and celebrities were hacked to promote scams and manipulate the market.
Among the victims was a crypto investor known as Gigantic-Casocked-Rebirth (GSR), who has approximately 250,000 followers.
On May 26, a post appeared on his page about ORDI and LUNA 2.0 coins, causing both assets to momentarily rise by 6% and 274%, respectively. The post was later deleted, and GSR confirmed the hack.

Many noted that the hacker could have used this account to sell a micro-cap coin, but instead chose to post about two tokens, resulting in “limited profit.”
GCR hacker fumbled the bag hard.
Bro could’ve picked ANY believable micro cap to pump 10-20x, yet chose to shill ORDI and LUNA2 for a measly 10% wick.? pic.twitter.com/jy3cR6ZJwr

“Bro could’ve picked any believable micro cap to pump 10-20x, but chose to shill ORDI and LUNA 2.0 for a measly 10% growth,” wrote crypto analyst Miles Deutscher.
However, the community warned that the GCR hack might be just a small part of a broader attack on celebrity accounts.
Recently, a post appeared on the X account of American rapper Rich The Kid, offering to buy a new token RICH, launched via the meme-token creation tool on Solana — pump.fun.
According to DEX Screener, at the time of writing, the coin had accumulated a market capitalization of $115,000. The message was later deleted, but no warnings or confirmations of a hack were issued by the artist.
Simultaneously, a likely fraudulent token appeared for celebrity Caitlyn Jenner. Its capitalization has already exceeded $26 million.
if anyone wants the TLDR on the @Caitlyn_Jenner situation here it is
She was never hacked, Her team was socially engineered by a guy named Sahil.
He was the “middleman” and his role was to launch the token for Caitlyn as the team didn’t know anything about crypto.

User Roxo revealed that Jenner and her team were deceived by someone named Sahil Arora.
“He was the middleman, and his role was to create the token for Caitlyn, as the team knew nothing about cryptocurrency. After launching the coin and involving Caitlyn in its promotion, he drained all tokens from the deployer’s wallet and transferred more to disposable wallets,” explained the researcher.
According to Roxo, Sahil is also linked to tokens from Rich The Kid, Soulja Boy, and other celebrities.
Back in March, due to a vulnerability in the IFTTT auto-posting service, the X accounts of several influential figures in the crypto industry were hacked. Fraudulent token PACKY was advertised on their pages.
In the same month, hackers compromised the profile of hardware crypto wallet manufacturer Trezor to promote a scam.
