The oracle provider Chainlink has launched the 24/5 U.S. Equities Streams product. It provides DeFi protocols with quotations for American stocks and ETFs around the clock on weekdays.

The tool streams market data not only during exchange hours but also during pre-market, post-market, and overnight sessions. This facilitates the creation of on-chain markets for real-world tokenized assets (RWA) that operate without price gaps.
Previously, oracles often updated information only during the main trading session (from 9:30 to 16:00 ET). At other times, “blind spots” would occur, posing risks for traders. Chainlink’s solution addresses this issue by ensuring continuous trading of perpetual futures and other stock-based derivatives.
In addition to average prices, the data streams include information on supply and demand, recent trades, volumes, and market status. These metrics are essential for developers to accurately configure liquidation mechanisms and risk management.
The technology has already been integrated by exchanges Lighter, BitMEX, ApeX, and Orderly Network. The solution is available on more than 40 blockchains. Chainlink anticipates that the product will accelerate the mass adoption of RWA.
