Changpeng Zhao Named Among Bloomberg’s 50 Global Icons and Innovators

The CEO of the Binance cryptocurrency exchange, Changpeng Zhao, was among 50 people who, in 2020, significantly changed the world, according to Bloomberg.

Zhao stood among the ranks of the most influential thought leaders in business, entertainment, finance, politics, science and technology. Over the years, those named alongside him included Steve Jobs, Barack Obama, Elon Musk, Warren Buffett, Jeff Bezos, Jack Ma, Greta Thunberg, Janet Yellen, Angela Merkel and others.

“It is a great honour to be part of this group of outstanding people who are shaping our world for the better. My colleagues and I will continue to work towards increasing financial inclusion worldwide thanks to cryptocurrencies,” Zhao said in a press release.

In October, Changpeng Zhao gave an extensive interview, in which he shared his views on national digital currencies and regulatory pressure on BitMEX.
