The Ethereum network’s transition to the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus algorithm has been delayed, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson said.
You should have just implemented snow white with Elaine’s help. It would have saved you a heck of a lot of pain and effort.

Hoskinson reacted to statements by Ethereum developer Evan Van Ness, who stated, as he put it, an unpopular opinion that the merge could have happened earlier.
Co-founder Vitalik Buterin agreed with him, noting that the team could have implemented what was planned based on NXT as early as 2018.
According to Hoskinson, the network should have implemented the Snow White protocol, which was among the first to provide comprehensive formal security proofs for PoS algorithms.
In 2020, in an interview with Cointelegraph, the Cardano founder said that his ideas for technical updates to the Ethereum network since 2014 were better than what developers had implemented at the time.
In response to the remark, Evan Van Ness reminded Hoskinson that the Cardano founder had been fired from the Ethereum Foundation after six months due to his poor conduct and lack of any significant technical contribution.
Charles got fired from Ethereum in less than 6 months because no one liked him and he did nothing useful technically.

Shortly before the dispute, Hoskinson accused Ethereum developers of ignoring Ouroboros — Cardano’s variation of the PoS blockchain — over the past five years.
To discuss major differences in protocol design. I repeatedly pointed out that the core engineers of Ethereum completely ignored Ouroboros throughout the last five years. It’s a crime on that side of the fence to even mention Cardano. If you don’t believe me, then send (2/9)

In response, former Ethereum Foundation employee Hudson Jameson reminded Hoskinson that Vitalik Buterin had weighed in on Ouroboros. The team declined to work with him because of “his attitude and actions as the face of the Cardano project”, as well as past conflicts.

On September 23, the Input Output Global (IOG) team successfully activated the Vasil upgrade on the Cardano mainnet.
