ChatGPT Weekly Active Users Surpass 200 Million
The number of weekly active users of ChatGPT has doubled, exceeding 200 million. This was reported by OpenAI representatives in a conversation with Axios.
According to their data, 92% of Fortune 500 companies use the AI startup’s products, and the use of the automated API has doubled since the release of GPT-4o mini in July.
“People are using our tools in everyday life, and they are truly making a difference in areas such as healthcare and education — whether it’s helping with routine tasks, solving complex problems, or unlocking creative potential,” commented OpenAI CEO Sam Altman.
The firm likely surpasses Netflix in terms of monthly users — the video portal has 278 million subscribers.

Back in July, the startup introduced an alpha version of the advanced voice mode GPT-4o.
The company is also testing SearchGPT — a prototype of new AI-based search features.
