The authorities of the Chechen Republic have drawn up a development strategy for the region through 2035, which envisages the creation of a ‘digital valley’. сообщает TASS.
The project’s authors plan to develop blockchain in the public sector, apply innovative technologies in construction and agriculture, and improve IT infrastructure.
The centre of digital transformation will be the city of Grozny.
“Grozny will develop within the concept of a ‘smart’ city, using digital management of city operations and intelligent transport systems,” the document states.
The financing for the project will come from the Abu Dhabi Development Fund, the resources of development banks, and partners in digital transformation.
Earlier, in the summer of 2020, Chechnya topped the list of Russian regions with the greatest interest in Bitcoin, according to Google Trends.
