China-based miners assemble a laptop-farm capable of yielding $77,000 in Ethereum per year

Gaming laptops powered by GeForce RTX 30 GPUs have become popular among Chinese Ethereum miners, reported by the BTCer blogger.

Due to a shortage of discrete GPUs on the market, miners began assembling farms from laptops.

Based on these estimates, a laptop priced at about $1,000 pays back in roughly three and a half months, calculated by Techarp.

As of writing, the second cryptocurrency trades around $1,750.

\n

Earlier, Ethereum miners earned $798m. Forty percent of revenues came from transaction fees.

Earlier ForkLog reported that a new gaming laptop with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 demonstrated decent Ethereum mining performance. The overclocked GPU reached 48.99 MH/s.
