Christie’s head of digital art Noah Davis will join the company behind the NFT collection Bored Ape Yacht Club, Yuga Labs.
I’m humbled and honored to announce I’ll be leaving my current post in July to steward the CryptoPunks as Brand Lead under the umbrella of @yugalabs before I say anything else it’s important to confirm what we WON’T be doing… simply put: I WILL NOT FUCK WITH THE PUNKS… 🧵👇🏻

He will work on developing the CryptoPunks brand. Yuga Labs acquired the intellectual property rights to the tokens of the series in March 2022.
Davis also stressed that under his leadership the company will not promote tokens through advertising them in ‘crappy films’ or conduct airdrops.
It was he who in 2021 organized Christie’s NFT auction of Beeple, which sold for $69.3 million. Because of his fascination with non-fungible tokens, Davis was nicknamed ‘the NFT heartthrob from Christie’s’.
In June, Yuga Labs revoked the smart contract that allowed it to mint an unlimited number of tokens for the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection. Prior to that, the company launched a metaverse.
