Former hedge-fund manager and host of CNBC’s Mad Money, Jim Cramer, said in an interview with TheStreet that he made a ‘timely’ investment in Bitcoin on December 11 when the price was below $18,000.
He explained that he usually buys assets when they fall. According to Cramer, Bitcoin does not occupy a large share of his portfolio, but helps diversify it.
The CNBC host also conceded that the price of digital gold could ‘fall again’, given ‘its volatile history’.
Earlier, Twitch’s top executive and former CEO of the social network Bebo Shaan Puri said that invested a quarter of his capital in Bitcoin, hoping to outpace a wave of institutional capital.
