The digital payments integrator Centrepay has attracted investments from Coca-Cola Amatil, one of the Asia-Pacific region’s largest soft-drink manufacturers. This is говорится in a press release.
The company invested funds in Centrepay through its corporate venture fund Amatil X. The amount of the investment was not disclosed.
“The fact that Coca-Cola Amatil invested in Centrapay through Amatil X demonstrates real interest in providing customers with new ways to attract and exchange funds,” said Centrepay chief Jerome Fori.
The funds will be used by the company to develop the payments service. Centrepay plans to add fiat money, vouchers and Epay gift cards to its payment options.
Earlier in June, Coca-Cola Amatil and Centrepay launched a project to sell beverages for cryptocurrency in Australia and New Zealand.
