Coinbase received more than 150 applications to participate in the October summit

More than 150 companies and projects have expressed interest in taking part in the Coinbase Ventures Summit, according to Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong.

Armstrong also added a Web3 version of the social network LinkedIn as the 11th item on his list of concepts that hold the potential to shape the future of the crypto industry.

“It would be great if companies could issue non-fungible tokens for verifying employees or credentials,” he wrote.

The Coinbase Ventures Summit will take place in Malibu in October 2023. Some participants may receive funding from the Bitcoin exchange.

In August, the developers of Coinbase-supported L2-platform Base presented a plan to move to a decentralized model, envisaging several technical upgrades and the elimination of a single point of failure.

Launched a crypto-lending service aimed at institutional investors. Coinbase raised $57 million for these purposes.
