The cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase announced the launch of the 10 Percent project, which envisages allocating 10% of available resources to support the modernization program.
The initiative aims to create a “culture of repeatable innovations” and unlock the staff’s creative potential.
The project aligns with Coinbase’s philosophy of dedicating 70% of time to core business areas, 20% to strategic domains, and 10% to breakthrough experiments.
10 Percent will be launched from a staff survey inviting proposals for efficiency improvements. Their primary criterion is a tenfold impact on user experience, metrics and Coinbase’s technical capabilities. The best ideas will be showcased at a special event held twice a year.
In April, took place Coinbase’s direct listing on Nasdaq.
One of Coinbase’s early investors, Ron Conway named the exchange a leader in the industry, describing it as “a multi-million-dollar opportunity in the field of innovation.”
