CoinEx launches trading of SMURFCAT meme token

The cryptocurrency exchange CoinEx listed SMURFCAT and launched trading in the USDT pair. This was reported in a press release.

SMURFCAT (also known as Шайлушай and Shailushai) is a deflationary meme token on Ethereum. The cryptocurrency was created in honour of the internet meme — the Smurf-cat, which became popular on TikTok.

The token features a redistribution of rewards for long-term staking and a coin-burn mechanism.

“We are pleased with the listing of SMURFCAT and consider it a very promising token. Note that among the 6,307 holders of SMURFCAT there are 1,000 large holders. The whales are not on the market, and the coin is less vulnerable to manipulation, since even one or two large players can push its price down at any moment,” commented representatives of CoinEx.

To support the listing, CoinEx is running a repost contest on Twitter. Winners will share 1000 CET.

CoinEx is a cryptocurrency exchange that offers spot and futures markets for 718 cryptocurrencies and tokens. The platform has been operating since 2017 and serves more than 4 million users from 200 countries and regions.

Earlier CoinEx updated the CoinEx Pro Trader Program. The exchange lowered the entry threshold for market makers on spot markets, introducing zero fees and rebates.
