On August 21–22, Bali, Indonesia, will host the crypto festival Coinfest Asia 2025. The event is expected to gather over 10,000 individuals from the cryptocurrency, finance, and technology sectors, according to a press release from the organisers.
Coinfest Asia will take place at the Nuanu Creative City hub. The festival’s theme is the full moon, symbolising the transition of Web3 into a new era following the Bitcoin halving and the growing institutional interest in crypto assets.
The list of confirmed speakers includes:
- Ben Zhou, CEO of Bybit;
- Justin Sun, founder of TRON;
- Stephan Lutz, CEO of BitMEX;
- Rachel Conlan, CMO of Binance;
- Mudit Gupta, Chief Information Security Officer of Polygon Labs;
- Yat Siu, co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands;
- Kevin Kwong, Chief Commercial Officer of 9GAG & Memeland.
Participants will focus on RWA within the Tokenize Indonesia section. Organisers estimate that the tokenisation market in Indonesia could reach $88 billion.
“Coinfest Asia is a catalyst, bringing together bold thinkers and true builders of Southeast Asia’s digital economy,” commented Tessa Wijaya, co-founder of Xendit.
The event will feature a Blockchain x AI zone, showcasing the intersection of AI and decentralised technologies. Additionally, the festival will host TEDxTabanan, with talks on technology and culture.
“The full moon symbolises the moment when ideas come out of the shadows into the light. It is a celebration of the Web3 movement—from Bitcoin to meme coins and everything in between,” said Jodita, head of events at Indonesia Crypto Network (ICN).
Coinfest Asia is organised by ICN and Coinvestasi. The festival is supported by TRIV, Manta Network, Emurgo, ZIGChain, iVault, Gate, MEXC Ventures, Indodax, Tokocrypto, Binance, Pintu, CFX, and other companies.
Tickets are available on the event’s website.
Earlier in August, new tax regulations for the crypto market came into effect in Indonesia.
