American blockchain-hosting provider Core Scientific has begun reporting daily cryptocurrency production. The company said the move is intended to increase transparency for shareholders and other stakeholders.

“We believe that the daily Bitcoin production metric is one of the most important efficiency metrics in our industry. The disclosure of daily mining data provides transparency for our shareholders and other stakeholders,” said Mike Levitt, the company’s chief executive officer.
The company reports its daily production on its site. The data is updated daily at 19:00 Moscow time. For the latest reporting period the provider generated 36.8 BTC (~$1.5 million).
In January 2022, Core Scientific became a public company through a reverse merger with a SPAC. Its stock trades on the Nasdaq under the ticker CORZ. At the time of writing, the shares were trading near $7.40, having fallen about 4% from the session’s open.
In April 2022, Tesla, Block and Blockstream announced that will mine Bitcoin using solar energy. The parties plan to launch a public dashboard that will display project performance in real time, including power output and the total amount of BTC mined.
