On 25 November the Arkhangelsk Regional Court overturned the first-instance court’s decision to block Bestchange.ru, the online aggregator of cryptocurrency exchangers. This, reports RBC.
A site spokesperson said the blocking should be lifted in the near future. Within two weeks the aggregator would receive a court order.
Formally, the court proceedings are not yet concluded. The Kotlas City Court will review the case returned to it by the regional court. But the company is confident that the judge will uphold the higher instance’s decision.
“There is now a definite basis for unblocking the site. There are no other court rulings; the site should be unblocked,” Bestchange.ru said.
Earlier, Roskomnadzor had repeatedly listed the Bestchange.ru cryptocurrency-exchange aggregator in the register of banned resources, starting in May 2017.
The blocking was reversed each time by a court order.
In the summer of 2020, the portal again turned out to be in the register of banned resources for disseminating prohibited information about the possibility of buying bitcoin and paying with it for certain goods.
