Crypto Bot Launches SEND Token and Announces Airdrop
The trading bot on Telegram, known as Crypto Bot, has announced the launch of the utility token SEND on The Open Network (TON) blockchain.
Representatives of Crypto Bot also revealed an airdrop for “active and loyal” users of the application. According to the team, a snapshot was already taken at the end of March.
“SEND will become the cornerstone of the Crypto Bot ecosystem and will be used for rewards for using our products and much more,” the announcement stated.
The project’s representatives did not specify the exact release date of the coin.
The Telegram bot was launched about three years ago, and since then, the service has added support for various cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, TON, LTC, ETH, TRX, GRAM, BNB, BUSD, USDC, and USDT.
In addition to its custodial function, Crypto Bot supports a P2P platform and a digital asset exchange. The platform is also developing the payment system Crypto Pay.
The bot supports a check system, allowing users to transfer cryptocurrency without a fee by issuing a virtual receipt.
Previously, experts surveyed by ForkLog warned of the risk of losing cryptocurrency when trading through Telegram bots. Despite the platform’s simple interface, there is a danger of hacking.
In October 2023, an unknown attacker targeted the trading Telegram bot Unibot, causing nearly $650,000 in damages.
Later, users of BONKbot and Solareum lost $520,000 due to hacks. Analysts at CertiK noted multiple reports of lost funds and suggested a possible leak of private keys.
