Crypto.com receives Brazil payment-institution licence

The Crypto.com cryptocurrency platform has received a Payment Institution Licence from the Central Bank of Brazil.

“Brazil and the entire Latin American market are an important region for realising our vision of cryptocurrency in every wallet,” said Kris Marshalek, CEO of the company.

In August Crypto.com received a licence to operate with crypto assets in the United Kingdom. In the same month itacquired the payments services provider PnLink and the digital asset provider OK-BIT with the corresponding licenses from South Korean regulators.

\n\n

Earlier the platform received approvals to operate from authorities in Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Singapore and Dubai.

\n\n

In November, the Brazilian parliament backed a bill to regulate the crypto industry.
