Crypto.com unveils AI companion Amy based on ChatGPT
The Crypto.com platform has unveiled a personal AI companion, Amy, built on the ChatGPT chatbot, according to company representatives who spoke to ForkLog.
“Crypto.com is initially testing Amy to gather information before expanding these and future AI-based projects more broadly,” the press release said.
According to the company, the companion should help users gain knowledge about the crypto industry, providing real-time information on specific tokens and projects. The tool can also find detailed information on price lists and historical events.
Amy is based on deep-learning algorithms and OpenAI technologies. However, the tool is additionally trained on specific examples to deliver more accurate and relevant results, Crypto.com said.
The pilot project is in beta testing and is currently available to a limited number of users in the Price section. A full release of Amy is planned in the coming weeks.
“As with other enterprises and sectors, we see incredible potential and opportunities for the convergence of AI with the crypto industry and our platform in particular,” said Abhi Bisarya, Executive Vice President of Products at Crypto.com.
The company emphasised that Amy does not provide financial or investment advice. They also warned that the companion is still evolving and may make mistakes.
“Lessons learned during the pilot will be applied to the further deployment of Amy, as well as to Crypto.com\’s future AI projects, the developers said.”
In April, Binance launched a ChatGPT-based chatbot as part of its online academy.
In January, Crypto.com announced a 20% reduction in its staff.
