The company can offer a suite of its products and services to local users.
“Obtaining a VASP registration from the Bank of Spain is evidence of our commitment to comply with the requirements and to work with regulators and public officials for the responsible promotion of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology,” said the platform’s CEO Chris Marshalek.
In August 2022 Crypto.com obtained permission to operate with crypto assets in the United Kingdom.
In the same month, it acquired the payment services provider PnLink and the digital asset provider OK-BIT with licenses from South Korean regulators.
The platform’s activities were also approved by the authorities of Италии, Greece, Cyprus, Сингапура, Dubai and Brazil.
In June 2023, Financial Times reported on a secret prop-trading desk at Crypto.com.
