Supporters of digital assets and fans of American football have united in a DAO to raise $4 billion to buy the NFL’s NFL Denver Broncos.

One of the organisation’s leaders was former Cisco engineer Sean O’Brien.

“We know this sounds a little crazy, but it’s also pretty cool. The aim is to build infrastructure that will allow fans to own the Denver Broncos,” he said in a CNBC interview.

According to Forbes, in August 2021 the club was valued at $3.75 billion.

DAO members investing in the purchase of the NFL team will receive non-fungible tokens as a ‘member card’.

The Denver Broncos, founded in 1960, are based in Denver, Colorado. Earlier, Governor Jared Polis announced the possibility of paying taxes and fees in cryptocurrencies by the summer of 2022.

In February, during the NFL’s championship game (the Super Bowl), cryptocurrency companies displayed a record amount of advertising for the industry.
