The situation deteriorated when it emerged that the detainee had a pistol. The influencer’s business partner had to call the police.
A few weeks earlier, the Bitboy Crypto team had expelled Armstrong from the project. His colleagues said this was part of “long-running efforts to help Ben during his relapse into substance abuse.”
Additionally, representatives noted that their colleague had inflicted “emotional, physical and financial” harm on them.
Yesterday, BJ Investment Holdings, the parent company of Hit network, took decisive legal action in removing Ben Armstrong from the company, and specifically the Bitboy Crypto brand. https://t.co/e0kYLKUZ4r

Armstrong is known for his controversial conduct. Earlier this year he allegedly pursued a lawyer who filed a lawsuit against him for promoting the collapsed FTX. The blogger did not attend the court hearing, to go on a cruise.
In May, NBA star Shaquille O’Neal received a court summons for promoting NFT-Astrals collection. The documents state that non-fungible tokens were unregistered securities.
