CryptoDickbutts NFT trading volume surges 770%

Over the last 24 hours, the trading volume of non-fungible tokens from the CryptoDickbutts collection on the OpenSea marketplace increased by 770%, to 873.9 ETH (more than $1.5 million).

As of writing, CryptoDickbutts ranks second by daily trading volume, outranking popular projects Bored Ape Yacht Club, Bored Ape Kennel Club, Mutant Ape Yacht Club and CryptoPunks.

The CryptoDickbutts collection consists of pixel art meme characters with a risqué undertone, created as part of a comic by artist Casey Green in 2006.

The cheapest CryptoDickbutts token costs 3.8 ETH (about $6,600). According to OpenSea, the collection contains 5,200 NFTs distributed among 1,764 owners.

CoinShares’ chief strategy officer Meltem Demirors, with an audience of more than 250,000 followers, regularly mentions the collection on her Twitter.

In July, the NFT trading volume on the secondary market declined by 26% from the previous month, to $647.2 million.

The Tiffany & Co. jewelry brand sold all 250 jewelry pieces from the limited CryptoPunks NFT-based collection.
