The CurateDAO platform launched the C2E-protocol on the Avalanche network. The project will provide users with AVAX rewards for curating community-valued “boards”, as on Pinterest, according to the press release.

Boards are decentralized and use a smart contract to transfer revenues to content creators and curators.

CurateDAO presents a community-built data-curation protocol that rewards curators and aggregators. By transferring revenue and ownership of the results of efforts, the platform improves the current Web2 model.

The mechanism works as follows:

Curatorship in CurateDAO can be viewed as a DAO. Each curator has a goal and a set of rules that community members follow when adding content.

Examples of CurateDAO boards promoted in the press release include:

The protocol was launched on the Avalanche C-Chain with plans to migrate to a subnet to support the project’s growth. According to founder Michael Fischer, the blockchain was chosen for its low transaction fees and high throughput.

Blizzard Foundation made strategic investments in CurateDAO.

In June 2022, the Avalanche team unveiled a browser wallet and a bridge to the Bitcoin blockchain.

In April, Bloomberg reported that Ava Labs, the company behind the blockchain, opened a financing round of $350 million at a valuation of $5.25 billion.

Later, its president John Wu declined to name Avalanche a competitor to Ethereum.
