Dapper Labs will allow EU-sanctioned Russian users to withdraw NFTs to a non-custodial Blocto wallet

NFT company Dapper Labs разрешила EU-sanctioned users to transfer the NFTs they own to a non-custodial Blocto wallet.

The company explained that on 7 October it imposed restrictions on users in Russia in response to a directive from the co-emitter of USDC, Circle. The latter is a partner of Dapper in payment processing and asset custody.

Platform representatives stressed that the rapid response was driven by a prioritisation of community security.

The team is currently working to provide user support in compliance with the law. Staff expect to offer clients the ability to withdraw tokens to alternative platforms.

It later emerged that platforms LocalBitcoins and Blockchain.com ceased serving Russian citizens.
