Dash blockchain outage after Core v19 activation

On May 22 at 7:02 (Kyiv/Moscow time), the Dash network stopped at block #1 874 879. The problem was caused by the activation of the Dash Core v19 release, said Samuel Westrich, CTO of the software-development company.

There was a problem during v19 activation of Dash Core. The chain is stalled and currently not producing blocks. We have everyone investigating the issue. I will continue with updates on Twitter as we have more information.

According to him, the team has everything they need to resolve the issue.

Dmitry Korniychuk, founder of PirateCash, noted that running autonomous software does not allow restarting the blockchain. Due to desynchronization and invalid blocks, the privacy-focused cryptocurrency network stops.

The price of DASH did not react to the outage — in the last 24 hours the coin fell about 0.1% and traded around $43.8.

In 2020, Fernando Gutierrez stated that Dash is a payment method, and not one of the anonymous cryptocurrencies.

In July 2021, the developers launched a payment app DashDirect.
